Problem Statement

Nexus Venture Partners is a  venture capital firm that invests in product-first companies, backing entrepreneurs from the seed stage through their journey. It’s a well-established brand has multiple verticals under its umbrella, operating across diverse industries to drive innovation and impact.

One of these verticals, Conversations, is dedicated to fostering meaningful discussions, thought leadership, and knowledge-sharing within the industry.

But there was a problem—it had no clear identity.


Our challenge was to craft a logo and supporting branding elements that would give Conversations its own unique presence that made it stand out while keeping it undeniably Nexus.

EXISTING BRAND ANALYSIS

The primary challenge was designing a sub-brand identity that aligned
with Nexus' already established branding.

Conversations needed a professional, recognizable logo that captured its focus on meaningful dialogue while ensuring cohesion with the parent brand.
Their existing logo included a generic, overused, and forgettable “speech bubble”. It blurred the line between Conversations and the Nexus brand, creating more confusion than clarity. We needed something sharper, more intentional, and unmistakably Nexus.

Defining the visual direction

Retain Nexus’ core brand colors but subtly enhance them.
Create an extended palette for versatility in different media.
Provide branded assets such as YouTube thumbnail templates and brand guidelines to ensure consistent usage.

An in-depth analysis of Nexus and its diverse verticals, along with strategic discussions with the team, helped shape our direction and define key goals for Conversations’ branding.

LOGO DESIGN

The Concept

We kept the essence of the speech bubble but stripped it down to a minimal, refined form. The new design maintains its symbolism while being more versatile and adaptable.
Incorporated Nexus’ primary logo on top to retain brand association.
We created a suffix-style sub-logo for Nexus Conversations that seamlessly integrates with the parent Nexus brand. By adding a subtle chat bubble tail to "Conversations", we visually conveyed dialogue while preserving brand consistency.



This design ensures flexibility for co-partner units, allowing the sub-brand to adapt across collaborations while maintaining the strength and harmony of the Nexus identity.
VISUAL IDENTITY

The Nexus Conversations branding successfully balances the dual identity of being part of the
Nexus family while establishing itself as a standalone vertical. 


This branding project sets the tone for all future Nexus sub-brands, offering a framework
for scalability and consistency.

Primary
Blacker Pro Display is our primary font, designed for bold, impactful headings. Its serif style enhances readability and presence at larger sizes.
Secondary
Cera Pro is a versatile typeface, suitable for both headlines and body text. It maintains clarity and balance across both large and small sizes.

Minimal, contemporary, and professional.

Created custom templates for Nexus Conversations’ YouTube content, maintaining brand consistency across all digital platforms.
